“This work is the experiment of all beings on the nature of all imaginable relationships.
Here, artists, planners, space, echo, wall, floor, air, gravity, time, audience, consciousness and breathing,
objects, structures, radio waves, calculators, computers, insects, moisture, mold and dust are invited to conduct the experiment.
We will study and practice together whether it is possible to ‘speak nearby’ each other, instead of ‘speak about’.”
 

The exhibition, in which sonic events occur within a network of objects exchanging wifi signals, invites the viewer to enter a forest-like environment that is non-verbal, non-causal, and intimate, yet remains in a state of chaos.

“여러분은 사물들이 소리와 움직임을 스스로 만들고, 사물 생태계의 법칙에 따라 각자의 노동과 일과를 보낼 수 있도록 설계된 소리 환경이자 세계를 만나고 있습니다. 톤Tone, 티카Tika, 찌Buoy, 썬더Thunder, 캐스퍼Casper, 봉봉Bongbong, 도트Dot 등의 다양한 이름을 가지고 있는 사물들은 전시장 벽과 통로, 출입구 곳곳에서 라디오 신호로 서로 소통하며, 분산된 네트워크를 이루고 있습니다. 정기적인 무선 통신으로 사물들은 각자의 상태를 파악합니다. 누가 소리를 내거나, _세계의 에너지_에 영향을 주는지 감지하고, 자신은 언제, 어떻게 모습을 드러내거나 움직일 건지 개체적으로 결정합니다. 우리가 매일 날씨와 밤/낮을 경험하고 인지할 때, 겪는 기분의 변화와도 비슷합니다. 떨거나 긁으면서 단순한 소리를 반복하는 사물, 말하는 것 같이 목소리를 가진 사물, 주의를 끌지 못하지만 환경처럼 작용하는 소리의 사물 등, 다양한 층위의 사물들이 _세계_를 이룹니다. 어떤 사물들은, 각각의 개체가 개별적으로 존재하거나, 때때로는 다른 개체와 쌍을 이루며 대화하는 것 같이 들리기도 합니다. 또는 어떤 사물들은 같은 종으로 여겨지는 집단이 무리나 군집을 이루듯이 활동하기도 합니다.”
