Drawing Synth 는 종이에 그림을 그리게 되면 그리는 패턴에 따라 소리가 발생되는 전자 종이패드이다.
그림을 그리는 부분 아랫부분에 교차되는 두 장의 종이회로가 놓어 있고, 96개의 교차점을 인지하는 센서값을 사운드를 발생시키는 컴퓨터의 사운드소프트웨어에 전달하는 역할을 전자 종이패드가 한다. 교차점의 위치에 따라 전자음의 음정이 다르게 발생되어, 그림을 그리면서 다양한 위치와 방향으로 다양한 연주가 가능하게 된다.
 
Drawing Synth is an electronic paper pad that generates sound based on the drawing pattern when one draws on the paper.
Beneath the drawing area, two sheets of paper circuitry are laid in a criss-cross pattern. The electronic paper pad transmits sensor readings from these 96 intersection points to sound-generating software on a computer. The pitch of the electronic tones varies according to the location of the intersection point, enabling diverse performances in various positions and directions whilst drawing.
